I'm leaving Dreamwidth.
Not permanently. I'm not deleting my account or anything like that. But I'm trying to free myself from the toxic mindset I described in this post, and I've realized the only way I can do that without being tempted to slip back into my old habits is to not go on Dreamwidth at all, or at least not as often as I've been doing. If you're trying to get sober, you stay away from the bar.
I'll miss you terribly, but what I need right now is a break. I might come back someday, but only after I've put my mind back together. (And yes, I'll answer your comments on this post, if you want to leave any.)
A fond farewell to you all, and I hope we can meet again soon.
Love,
Brooke

All six of us? ;-p
It's probably the right decision; the best way not to look at things is not to be able to look at them (hence the popularity of deleting smartphone apps, etc., for 'mental spring-cleaning').

It's worked surprisingly well so far. I've been out most of the day and was actually able to enjoy myself without worrying about what updates I was missing.
